Knickerbocker Park is a two million + dollar park spanning over 15 acres in the North West. It includes play areas that suit the needs of your typical 2-12 year old child. Yes, there are things for the adult kid too!  It has many features to include swing sets, and splash pads to baseball and a multi-use events fields. There are plenty of picnic and exercise areas as well. Knickerbocker at Providence features a welcomed dog park for both small to large dogs. Basically there is a little something fore everyone
Providence puts on a 4th of July Fireworks show that is simply breathtaking. Last nights show had me thinking about how it must have been back in 1776. Sitting across the street from the show surrounded by residential homes, I found myself eyes closed listening to the loud explosions from the fireworks. I could not help to ponder how it must have felt and sounded to the heroes and families who lived and died in order to spearhead the adoption of our declaration of independence. Thank you to them and our soldiers of current for their sacrifice and commitment to duty!
